SIM card security
Each SIM card has a built-in chip that stores your unique personal identification number (PIN), personal unblocking key (PUK) and memory space for storing your phone numbers and SMS messages. SIM card with 32K capacity enables you and to use the SMSinfo service (SIM Toolkit technology), store up 220 phone numbers in your phone book as well as 30 SMS messages.
PIN number is your personal four-digit secret number that protects your SIM card from unauthorized use. Unless the PIN control function is deactivated, you will have to enter your PIN every time you switch on your mobile phone. If you enter your PIN incorrectly three times in a row, the SIM card will automatically be blocked, and you will only be able to unblock it by entering your PUK number.
PUK number is your personal eight-digit secret number and it cannot be changed. If you enter your PUK incorrectly ten times in a row, your SIM card will become unusable. In that case you can request SIM card replacement at a T-Mobile point of sale or a T-Centar.
You can unblock your SIM card in your mobile phone’s menu or by entering the following code: **05*PUK*newPIN*newPIN#
You can change your PIN number in your mobile phone’s menu or by entering the following code: **04*oldPIN*newPIN*newPIN#
or **05*PUK*newPIN*newPIN#
